According to the NRC, the temporary adjustment is aimed at accommodating the expected surge in passenger movement as travellers head out to celebrate the holiday with family and friends.
Under the revised schedule, six train services will run on Tuesday, May 26, instead of the usual four trips on the route.
The corporation stated that trains departing from Lagos will leave at 7:45 a.m., 1:40 p.m., and 4:00 p.m., while departures from Ibadan are fixed for 8:00 a.m., 10:50 a.m., and 4:30 p.m.
It explained that the additional trips are only for the Sallah travel period and that the regular Tuesday schedule would resume after the celebrations.
The NRC also disclosed a temporary change to its Thursday operations, noting that only four trips would run on Thursday, May 28, despite the recently introduced six-trip schedule.
It added that the normal Thursday six-trip timetable would resume the following week after the festive season.
