Just one month into the fifth edition of its flagship 5 for 5 Rewards campaign, Wema Bank has disbursed ₦17.96 million to 273 customers, highlighting the strong momentum of its enhanced customer reward initiative and reaffirming its dedication to rewarding loyal customers for their everyday banking activities.
The latest season of the campaign was unveiled on May 2, 2026, as part of activities marking the bank’s 81st anniversary. This edition introduces a more inclusive and structured reward system aimed at promoting healthy financial habits while celebrating customer loyalty across the Youth, Women, and Mass Market segments.

The campaign kicked off with a special anniversary event at Ikeja City Mall, where 81 customers received ₦81,000 each, amounting to ₦6.56 million distributed on the launch day alone. Since then, the initiative has continued through daily and monthly reward draws, producing an additional 192 winners within its first month.
In the Youth category, 37 students benefited from rewards totaling ₦4.4 million. This included 20 recipients of ₦50,000 PocketMoni rewards and 17 university students who each received ₦200,000 as tuition support.
The Women segment also recorded notable engagement, with 12 customers winning ₦150,000 each under the #SelfCare reward category. Meanwhile, the Mass Market category generated the largest number of winners. During the first month, 120 customers received daily cash rewards, while 23 customers secured ₦200,000 each in the monthly draw, bringing total payouts in the segment to ₦5.2 million.
Speaking on the campaign’s performance so far, Wema Bank’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Moruf Oseni, stated:

To qualify for the campaign, customers are required to open or reactivate a Wema Bank account, deposit a minimum of ₦5,000, maintain an average monthly balance of at least ₦5,000, and complete a minimum of five monthly transactions through the ALAT app, Wema or ALAT cards, or the *945# banking channel.
With more than ₦170 million set aside for rewards between May and December 2026, thousands of additional customers are expected to benefit before the campaign concludes. The initiative further underscores Wema Bank’s commitment to rewarding loyalty, encouraging sound financial practices, and delivering value that extends beyond traditional banking services.
