Globacom has unveiled two fresh television commercials titled “Road Trip” and “Department of Imagination,” both designed to showcase the impact of strong network connectivity on everyday life and future possibilities.
The adverts present storytelling that feels relatable while also projecting a vision of a more digitally connected future powered by Glo’s services.
“Road Trip” portrays a light-hearted family travel experience filled with everyday moments and shared enjoyment. The narrative takes a noticeable turn when poor network coverage disrupts the journey, before a switch to Glo, featuring Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi, transforms the experience. From that point, activities such as streaming, navigation, and downloading become smooth and hassle-free.
The ad also emphasizes ease of access to Glo services, with customers able to subscribe to data plans by dialling *312#.
Featuring appearances from Bolaji Ogunmola and other actors, the story maintains a warm tone while positioning Glo as a dependable travel companion.
In contrast, “Department of Imagination” adopts a futuristic concept that explores how advanced connectivity could shape daily living, work, and entertainment. The storyline, led by Richard Mofe-Damijo as “The Professor,” creatively brings innovative ideas to life in a visually rich setting.
Within this imagined world, activities such as real-time gaming and modern food innovation—showcased by Hilda Baci—reflect a highly digital environment, alongside a strong tech-driven presence from Bamike Adenibuyan (Bam-Bam). Each scene underscores a future where connectivity enhances convenience and experience.
Across both campaigns, Globacom maintains a consistent message: whether in everyday life or future-focused imagination, the company remains committed to delivering reliable connectivity while embracing innovation and progress.
