President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Dr. Wasiu Olanrewaju-Smart as the new Special Adviser to the President on National Assembly Matters (House of Representatives).
Dr. Olanrewaju-Smart takes over from Hon. Ibrahim Olanrewaju, who resigned from the position to pursue his political ambition by contesting for an elective office in his home state.

The appointment is expected to strengthen coordination between the Presidency and the House of Representatives, particularly in the area of legislative engagement, policy implementation, and executive-legislative relations.
As Special Adviser, Dr. Olanrewaju-Smart will serve as a key liaison between the Presidency and members of the House of Representatives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration on government policies, legislative priorities, and national development initiatives.
His appointment comes at a time when the Tinubu administration continues to pursue critical reforms requiring close cooperation with the National Assembly.
