Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris
President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, on the occasion of his 60th birthday, marked on May 2, 2026.
In a State House statement he personally endorsed, the President lauded Idris as a skilled communicator, accomplished public relations expert, and influential media figure who has brought professionalism, credibility, and depth to government communications.

Tinubu reflected on Idris’s distinguished career, highlighting his role as founder and publisher of Blueprint Newspapers, his leadership of a notable public relations and broadcasting firm, and his service as General Secretary of the Newspaper Proprietors’ Association of Nigeria (NPAN).
According to the President, these accomplishments underscored Idris’s commitment to national development and positioned him as a trusted ally in advancing the country’s progress even before joining the cabinet.
He further praised the minister’s dedication, intellect, and resilience in effectively projecting the administration’s policies, achievements, and initiatives.
Tinubu also commended Idris’s consistent promotion of the ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda nationwide, encouraging him to sustain his efforts.
