Lizzy Anjorin has agreed to a ₦10 million boxing challenge proposed by show promoter Paulo Okoye, setting the stage for a potential face-off with fellow actress Iyabo Ojo and reigniting their long-running feud.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, Anjorin declared her readiness to enter the ring, years after Paulo first suggested a celebrity boxing match between her and Ojo.
Confirming her decision, she announced that she was officially accepting the challenge as of May 3, 2026.
However, she attached new conditions, insisting that Paulo should first face her husband, Chief Lawal, in a 10-round bout before she proceeds to fight Ojo the following day.
Anjorin also intensified the rivalry by making personal remarks aimed at both Paulo and Ojo, challenging them to publicly showcase evidence of their wealth and accomplishments.
This latest development adds another chapter to the prolonged public dispute between Anjorin and Ojo, which has unfolded over the years across social media, legal battles, and public exchanges.
The feud, believed to stem from both personal and professional differences, has escalated over time with lawsuits and repeated accusations. In 2024, Paulo introduced the idea of a celebrity boxing match between the two actresses, offering a ₦10 million prize to the winner.
Tensions peaked in 2025 when Ojo filed a ₦1 billion defamation lawsuit against Anjorin. Although the case was later dismissed on procedural grounds, Ojo indicated she would continue to seek legal redress.
The rivalry has also featured multiple allegations, counterclaims, and police petitions, with both actresses frequently clashing online.
Anjorin’s acceptance of the boxing challenge comes as celebrity boxing gains traction in Nigeria’s entertainment industry. Recently, street-pop star Portable was defeated by comedian Carter Efe in a widely publicised celebrity bout in Lagos, further boosting interest in such events
