A Police Inspector, Dr. Obodo Paul Ikechukwu, has reportedly lost his life in a tragic road accident allegedly involving a police convoy in Enugu State.
Dr. Obodo, a native of Nkpologu in Enugu State, was attached to the Operations Department of the Enugu State Police Command Headquarters before the fatal incident occurred.

Although the exact circumstances surrounding the accident are yet to be established, sources disclosed that the officer sustained fatal injuries after he was hit by a vehicle said to be part of a police convoy.
The late inspector, who also held a PhD, was widely regarded by colleagues and acquaintances as a committed and hardworking officer. His sudden death has reportedly left members of the police command and his community in deep mourning.
As of the time of this report, the Enugu State Police Command had not released an official statement on the incident. More details are expected as investigations continue.
