He also appealed for support, noting that his election would enable him to drive infrastructural development and promote human capital growth across the constituency. He further extended his goodwill to supporters, wishing them success in their various pursuits.
His declaration comes shortly after stakeholders of the APC in Sandamu Local Government Area of Katsina State endorsed him as their preferred candidate for the constituency.
The endorsement was made during a high-level meeting held at the Sandamu Local Government Secretariat, attended by elected officials and political appointees from across the area. Speaking at the gathering, the council chairman, Usman Na-Lado, described the move as a collective and unanimous decision, adding that Yusuf Buhari was considered a credible choice due to his perceived competence and acceptance within the party.
He added that, beyond the House of Representatives race, stakeholders also reaffirmed their support for Bola Tinubu and Dikko Radda as the APC’s candidates for the presidency and governorship, respectively, in the 2027 elections.
Party sources further revealed that Yusuf Buhari’s endorsement aligns with the position of Governor Radda, with one insider describing him as the governor’s preferred candidate.
