Solomon Akiyesi
Veteran Nollywood actor and filmmaker Solomon Akiyesi has passed away.
His death was confirmed on Monday by Abubakar Yakubu, President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).

Yakubu stated that the actor reportedly died in his sleep on Sunday, and his body has since been deposited in a mortuary in Abuja.
“Yes, it is confirmed. He passed on yesterday. He went to bed and did not wake up. We are awaiting further details from his family. His remains are currently at a morgue in Abuja where the incident occurred,” he said.
He added that the guild is still awaiting official information from the family regarding the circumstances surrounding the death.
Akiyesi, who originated from Ososo in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo State, began his acting career in the late 1990s and featured in more than 100 films during his lifetime.
He was widely known for his appearances in movies such as Marry Who You Love, Kiss My Pain, Joy of Nakasha, Heart of a Saint, Deadly Affair, Gen Z Wife, Olaedo The Fisher Girl, Pretty Liars, The End Is Near, and Desperate Ladies.
