President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, in the early hours of Monday to attend the Africa Forward Summit, a gathering focused on investment opportunities and sustainable development across the African continent.
According to a statement issued in Nairobi on Monday by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, the presidential aircraft touched down at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at about 12:18 a.m. local time.

Tinubu was welcomed by Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Musalia Mudavadi; Kenya’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, Isaac Parashina; top Kenyan government officials; and members of Nigeria’s diplomatic mission in Nairobi.
The Africa-France Summit is being jointly hosted by Kenyan President William Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron. The event brings together African leaders, policymakers, investors, and development partners to discuss economic growth, innovation, and strategic partnerships across the continent.
Tinubu’s attendance, according to the statement, highlights Nigeria’s dedication to promoting African unity, deepening regional economic integration, and building partnerships aimed at driving sustainable development and infrastructure expansion throughout Africa.
Discussions at the summit are expected to centre on economic reforms, digital advancement, trade growth, infrastructure, climate resilience, and long-term strategies for shared prosperity across Africa and beyond.
The Nigerian leader is also expected to hold several bilateral and multilateral meetings designed to strengthen Nigeria’s diplomatic and economic ties with other African nations while reinforcing the country’s leadership position on the continent.
The statement added that the president’s participation reflects his administration’s commitment to advancing African-led solutions to regional challenges and implementing the Renewed Hope Agenda through strategic diplomacy, international cooperation, and investment-driven partnerships.
Tinubu is accompanied by several senior government officials, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Ojukwu; the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari; and the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola.
Others on the delegation include the Minister of Environment, Balarabe Lawal; the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole; and the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani.
Also accompanying the president are Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, Mrs Omotenioye Majekodunmi, and Nigeria’s Ambassador to France, Ambassador Ayodele Oke, alongside other senior officials involved in diplomacy, climate policy, and investment promotion.
