The Police in Oyo State have confirmed the arrest of six suspects in connection with the abduction of schoolchildren and the killing of three persons, including two teachers and a motorcycle rider, in Ahoro-Esiele, Oriire Local Government Area of the state.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, said the suspects are currently in custody and are cooperating with investigators.

“We have six suspects in custody, and they are assisting the investigation,” he stated.
Security sources said the arrested individuals are believed to be informants working with armed abductors. They were reportedly picked up at different locations during coordinated operations by a combined team of the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police Force, Amotekun Corps, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and Agro-Rangers.
According to further reports, the suspects were tracked after intelligence monitoring of their phone communications with the kidnappers, in which they allegedly provided guidance on routes through the National Park to evade security and reach safe locations
