The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the sale of its 2026 Direct Entry (DE) application forms to May 8, 2026, moving the deadline from its earlier closing date.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the board said the extension is to ensure that all prospective Direct Entry candidates have enough time to apply and are not denied access to tertiary education.

As part of efforts to increase access, JAMB also approved five new registration centres in areas experiencing high demand. The centres include the Centre for Open and Distance Learning (CODL), Mini Campus, University of Ilorin, Kwara State; Bells University of Technology, Km 8 Idiroko Road, Ota, Ogun State; Olabisi Onabanjo University, Centre 1, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State; Prof. Usman E-Learning Centre, Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo, Oyo State; and Human Development Initiatives (Grace House), No. 2 Iwaya, Sabo, opposite Onike Girls Junior High School, Lagos State.
The Lagos centre is expected to begin operations on Thursday, April 30, 2026.
JAMB also reminded candidates that its offices nationwide, including Professional Registration Centres (PRCs) and Professional Testing Centres (PTCs), remain open for the ongoing Direct Entry registration.
