Fidelity Bank Plc has strengthened its commitment to youth development, financial inclusion and entrepreneurship through a strategic partnership with the Youth Economic Intervention and De-radicalization Programme (YEIDEP), a Federal Government-backed initiative aimed at providing young Nigerians with the skills, resources and opportunities needed to achieve sustainable economic independence.

The next phase of the enrolment exercise will be hosted by Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, which has confirmed its readiness to welcome students and youths from across the Southeast. According to the Office of the Vice Chancellor, the registration exercise will run from July 1 to July 3, 2026, at the university’s Convocation Arena and is expected to accommodate more than 60,000 full-time undergraduate students.
Commenting on the collaboration, the Divisional Head of Product Development at Fidelity Bank Plc, Osita Ede, said empowering young people remains a key priority for the bank as it works towards fostering a more inclusive and economically vibrant society.
“At Fidelity Bank, we believe Nigeria’s greatest strength lies in its people, especially its young population. Providing youths with the skills, opportunities and financial resources they need is vital to unlocking their potential and driving sustainable national development.
“Through our digital banking solutions, financial literacy programmes, youth-focused products and strategic collaborations, we remain committed to equipping young Nigerians with the tools required to thrive in today’s competitive environment. We understand that access to finance, mentorship and business support continues to be a major hurdle for many aspiring entrepreneurs, and we are dedicated to creating opportunities that help them overcome these challenges,” Ede said.
The bank noted that its partnership with YEIDEP is in line with its long-standing focus on supporting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), recognising their critical role in driving economic expansion, fostering innovation and creating employment opportunities across Nigeria.
