Justice Yunusa reportedly passed away on Thursday following a short illness at the Kano State Medical Centre.
The statement noted that the late judge had already been buried in line with Islamic traditions.
Describing him as an outstanding jurist, the court said Justice Yunusa served the judiciary with dedication, honesty and a strong commitment to justice delivery.
According to the FHC, his remarkable impact on the Bench and the legal profession would continue to be remembered.
The court added that his legacy would remain cherished by fellow judges, legal practitioners, court employees and everyone who worked closely with him.
“The Chief Judge, judges, management and staff of the Federal High Court deeply sympathise with his family over this painful loss.
“We pray that Almighty God grants them the strength to endure this difficult moment.
“May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus,” the statement added.
