Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has terminated the appointments of all his political advisers, including the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Principal Private Secretary, as part of a minor cabinet reshuffle.
The decision was announced in a brief statement issued on Monday by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mashood Agboola.

According to the statement, the reshuffle affects all Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants serving in the administration.
It explained that the move is aimed at creating opportunities for more members of the ruling party while bringing renewed energy into the state government.
“The decision, which is meant to extend opportunities to more party members and inject fresh energy into the administration, also affected the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor,” the statement said.
Governor AbdulRazaq expressed appreciation to the affected officials for their contributions and dedication to the development of the state during their time in office.
“He thanks all the appointees for their invaluable service to Kwara State and wishes them success in their future endeavours,” the statement added.
The governor also directed all those affected by the reshuffle to immediately hand over all government property in their possession to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
