Nigeria’s Super Eagles were forced to share the spoils with Poland after an entertaining 2-2 draw in an international friendly played in Warsaw on Wednesday.
The visitors took the lead midway through the first half when FC Porto forward, Terem Moffi, calmly finished a well-worked move following an incisive assist from Moses Simon in the 23rd minute.

The Eagles controlled large spells of the encounter but were punished moments before the break when Poland capitalised on a defensive lapse from a corner kick. Nicola Zalewski found the back of the net to level the score and send both teams into halftime at 1-1.
Nigeria head coach Eric Chelle reshuffled his squad at the start of the second half, introducing seven fresh legs, including Calvin Bassey, Zaidu Sanusi, Semi Ajayi, Rafiu Durosinmi, Raphael Onyedika, Paul Onuachu and Philip Otele.
Although the substitutions did not significantly alter the balance of possession, Nigeria regained the advantage in the 77th minute. Onuachu confidently converted from the penalty spot after a Polish defender handled the ball inside the area.
The Super Eagles appeared on course for victory as the match entered added time, but the hosts snatched a late equaliser through Przemyslaw Wisniewski, whose long-range effort from about 25 yards beat goalkeeper Maduka Okoye and settled the contest.
The encounter took place at the 58,000-capacity Stadion Narodowy, with approximately 54,000 fans in attendance.
Nigeria will now shift attention to another high-profile friendly against Portugal national football team, scheduled for June 10 in the city of Leiria.
