Boluwatife Fayose, alongside the Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Adeoye Aribasoye, and Deputy Speaker Bolaji Olagbaju, have secured the All Progressives Congress tickets for the 2027 state assembly elections in Ekiti State.
Also emerging as a candidate is the Chairman of Ekiti South-West Local Government, Richard Apolola.

The Chairman of the APC House of Assembly Primary Election Committee in Ekiti, Lateef Ibirogba, announced the results on Thursday evening after the completion of the primaries held across the state’s 26 constituencies.
Ibirogba explained that the exercise was conducted in two phases, with 17 constituencies producing candidates through affirmation because the aspirants were unopposed, while elections were held in the remaining nine constituencies where contestants faced opponents.
According to him, even unopposed aspirants were required to pass through the affirmation process before emerging as candidates.
Speaking in Ado Ekiti after receiving reports from collation officers, Ibirogba listed the candidates returned through affirmation to include Ayorinde Ogunsakin for Ikole 1, Olaoye Ogunsakin for Ekiti East 2, Bose Olowookere for Efon, Bolaji Olagbaju for Ado 2, Oludare Ogunlana for Ekiti South West 2, and Kemi Olaleye for Oye 2.
Others include Emmanuel Omotayo for Ise/Orun, Johnson Oyekola for Ekiti West 2, Sunkanmi Owolabi for Ikere 2, Ojo Adeolu for Ido-Osi 1, Atinuke Omolayo for Emure, Sunkanmi Onipede for Moba 1, Kemisola Ogunleye for Ikere 1, Agbede Opeyemi for Irepodun-Ifelodun 1, Yomi Ayorinde for Ido-Osi 2, Adeoye Aribasoye for Ikole 2, and Olalekan Ijidale for Gbonyin.
For the constituencies where voting took place, the winners announced by the committee included Ahmed Olutope for Ekiti East 2, Monsurat Oladipupo for Ekiti West 1, Richard Apolola for Ekiti South West 1, Ayodeji Adarabierin for Ado 1, Emmanuel Omolaja for Ilejemeje, Boluwatife Fayose for Irepodun-Ifelodun 2, Eyitayo Fabunmi for Oye 1, Kole Ayeni for Ijero, and Matthew Kekereawo for Moba 2.
