At least 24 people have been killed following an attack by suspected Boko Haram fighters on the Chadian military base at Barka Tolorom, according to military and regional officials who spoke to AFP on Tuesday.
A military source said the Monday assault resulted in 25 deaths and 46 injuries among Chadian soldiers, while a regional administrative official put the death toll at 24, with several others wounded.
