James Faleke, the representative of Ikeja Federal Constituency, has secured the All Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination forms on behalf of President Bola Tinubu as preparations begin for the 2027 presidential race.
The APC National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu, on Tuesday in Abuja officially flagged off the process and handed over the forms to Faleke, who is also the founder of the Tinubu Support Groups.

By purchasing the forms, which cost N100 million, Faleke has effectively kick-started Tinubu’s re-election campaign.
Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed Saturday, January 16, 2027, for the presidential and National Assembly elections, while governorship and State Houses of Assembly polls are slated for Saturday, February 6, 2027.
INEC also announced that party primaries, along with the settlement of related disputes, will take place between April 23, 2026, and May 30, 2026.
According to the commission, campaigns for presidential and National Assembly elections will begin on August 19, 2026, while governorship and state assembly campaigns will start on September 9, 2026.
