He wrote: “With heavy hearts and gratitude to God for a life well lived, we announce the glorious transition of Nkechi Stella Rhodes-Vivour (née Waboso).
“A loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother. She embodied love in every way and will be deeply missed. May her beautiful soul rest in perfect peace.
“Funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course.”
The family statement was issued by his brother, Olawale Rhodes-Vivour, on their behalf.
A memorial flyer released alongside the announcement celebrated the late matriarch’s life, describing her as a compassionate woman whose warmth and generosity touched everyone around her.
The tribute read: “Beloved wife, devoted mother, gentle soul.
“She loved without limits and gave selflessly. In her embrace we found comfort; in her smile we found calm. As a faithful wife and nurturing mother, her love became our refuge, and it continues to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
“Although she is no longer with us physically, her memory and love will remain in our hearts forever.”
The family added that details of her funeral ceremonies will be announced at a later date.
