The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed that the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai conducted targeted airstrikes in the Yuwe axis of the Sambisa Forest on Monday, eliminating several terrorists.
The NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, made this known in a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja.

Ejodame stated that the military has continued to mount sustained pressure on terrorist groups operating in the North-East. He explained that the operation was based on credible intelligence, further verified through Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), which identified the presence of active terrorists within fortified positions and bunkers.
According to him, NAF air assets struck the identified targets with precision-guided munitions, destroying the structures, neutralising several fighters, and dismantling key logistics hubs, as confirmed by a post-strike battle damage assessment.
He added, “The sustained pace of air operations is steadily weakening terrorist networks, leaving them increasingly vulnerable and disorganised, with growing pressure forcing them into desperate and reactive measures.”
Ejodame also quoted the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, as reaffirming the Air Force’s commitment to maintaining relentless, intelligence-led air operations until all terrorist elements are completely eliminated.
“We remain committed to protecting our personnel, safeguarding the nation, and ensuring the safety of all citizens,” Aneke said.
“The NAF will continue to intensify precision strikes across the theatre, sustaining decisive operational pressure while strictly adhering to rules of engagement and minimising civilian casualties.”
